Thanks for the responses. I'll be praying for you Dave. It would be great if you popped down to Kent sometime.

I'm still waiting for my tom's to turn red too!

Funny, you thinking about waiting ... I've been thinking about waiting too, a slightly different type, not life changing as such, but about our tomatoes. We've grown masses of tomatoes and they have looked ready in size for weeks except they've remained green. We had nearly decided that they would never ripen and were discussing green chutney ... but in the last three days, they have started to turn red. Paul had the first one today, soft, ripe and sweet, the food they were meant to be. I'm not quite sure what the punch line is but I think its to do with waiting, patience and being fully ripened by the Sun to become the perfect food rather than just a mush of chutney .. ;o)

I've been waiting ages for you to write about waiting!

On a serious note, thanks Wayne I found that really good to read. Feel like I'm going through a waiting period with God, which is frustrating at times but know it's doing my relationship with him good. Thanks again .

Thank you for your honest and open exchange tonight. I really appreciated both yours and Jemma's relational style sharing things close to your heart and significant to your story, which was a pleasure to hear. I look forward to meeting you both next time you are at TBC x

Thanks for commenting Steve. Jem and I are really excited about the possibility of moving to TBC and I'm really enjoying getting to know people each time I visit. I look forward to catching up with you sometime - this is definitely a 'step out of the boat' season for us!

God bless,

I hope this reply will reach Wayne. I felt prompted to get in touch this morning, having read your resume at TBC on Sunday evening. Your blog thoughts on stepping out of the boat ring very true. Its always been the case for me that when I have climbed out on what looks like a thin shakey branch, I have found God to be there already with His arms outstretched to me but only once I have started to climb.

I just wanted to encourage you and say that I recall you preached at an evening service a few months back and I then thought you were the man for the job. I have heard friends in Pembury speak very well of you and I very much look forward to your joining us at TBC.

Be blessed and a blessing and have a good day.
